You don't have to. You've had a busy day. I just wanted to let you know that we were finished and I would probably be occupied for the rest of the night.

And you're having a busy night. Isn't like I mind, I'll be up for a while.

I wouldn't mind the company. My assistant had to rush off to help Rose.

That's concerning, especially given -

[a gesture to indicate today] I'll be over in a few minutes.

[CLICK. Off to Daffodil he goes]

[ Presumably, someone will let him in and guide him towards the basement.

Crois is downstairs with a few tarps wadded up in the corner. He's working on disinfecting a few things and scrubbing at the base board to make sure there's no blood or anything. ]

[leonheartedly]

[he doesn't even blink at the state of the basement when he gets down there, just briefly knocks on the doorframe before stepping in]

How'd it go?

[afineknight]

[ It's a REALLY NICE BASEMENT OTHERWISE, like they haven't really furnished it yet but it's cool. ]

As well as amputating someone's arm here could.

[ . . . there's a hot plate and a frying pan nearby. ]

[. . . he's not going to ask about the hot plate and pan because he honestly doesn't want to know how they were used, he can take his guesses]

Well, at least he was in good hands.

Take care of those?

[ He gestures towards the tarps. ]

They caught most of the blood. We should just throw them out at this point.

[leonheartedly]

[he nods and heads over to the tarps, only pausing to unhook his knife and set it down so it won't get in the way. Then he gathers them up, carefully]

Probably, unless you want to try to salvage them.

[afineknight]

Nah. No point, really.

[leonheartedly]

[welp, he nods and . . . how is he supposed to get rid of them, idk, but he's DOING THAT]

[ He tells him to take them to wherever it is that they dispose of this stuff. it's fine. ]

[totally fine. He waves off the thanks]

I just had to talk a teenage girl through cutting off a man's arm while another teenager grew him a new arm.

Not the weirdest day I've ever had, but it's up there.

[that has him stopping short to look over, eyes widening]

. . . I'll take that as a no.

Ehh. [ He waggles a hand idly. ] I also got a magical briefcase a chainsaw! And the man, he has an arm again! Could be worse.

[leonheartedly]

And I'm the one who had a busy day?

[afineknight]

You went into the mist and then watched your team explode themselves, and then the mist rolled in as you all did questionable things over at your barn. So yes, I would say that is busy.

[leonheartedly]

[he comes over to help him scrub at the floorboards, copying the gesture]

Different kinds of busy.

Fair enough.

[ It's mostly okay, just like, the smallest bits here and there, and Crois is clearly concerned about making it seem like nothing even happened down here. ]

[totally understandable, places like this have to be super clean anyway, right]

[ it's going to be their storage area!!

After a bit, he pulls back, wiping at his brow with the back of his hand. ]

That . . . should be fine.

[leonheartedly]

[exactly!! He makes a move like he's going to wipe his hands on his pants, but stops himself]

Looks pretty clean to me.
