When he hears Crois returning, he just lifts his head to watch him]

So instead, he'll wave a hand, gesturing for him to follow him in as he moves into the barn nad heads towards the kitchen to start sorting these rations. ]

[he follows him into the barn and, like he usually does, stays in the doorway to lean against the frame to watch, quiet]

[ quietly, as he's putting away boxes of Cheerios: ]

. . . I've been trying to think of what to say since I got here.

[ next comes the bushel of the rice plant which he carefully carries over to the wall and leans it against it. ]

Yeah, I did. Figured I'd go to him if you were gonna avoid me.

[he doesn't say it as though he's annoyed or anything, just kind of quiet and matter-of-fact]

[he huffs again]

It— Charon and Minuet are already working on the situation, right? So why— why waste this thing on that?

. . . I'm not saying the other use isn't important. Being able to protect a group and get them to safety - that'd be incredibly useful.

But it's just one use. If it were . . . something that could be used again, then I'd have a harder time deciding.

But if it works for you . . . then that means the other people who have died in their worlds can have a second chance, too. The people Charon and Minuet are trying to help besides you.

But his shoulders start to quiver a bit. ]

He pushes off the door and comes closer, resting a hand on his shoulder and squeezing. If it's a bit shaky, well, no it isn't]

It wouldn't be a waste. And I know I'm not the only one who thinks that.
