Well! Since you are up so early, would you care to accompany me and help me complete a task?

[he keeps his expression as neutral as he can]

I need ideas, and I know you can get very creative at times. Come.

[ He waves a hand as he turns, heading back towards Daffodil's pasture. ]

[unsure, but he nods and follows after him. Kind of like a puppy, really]

Ideas for what?

I am trying to get my lighter back. So Red has said that if I take a daffodil and set it on fire in my hand, then I will get it. But the catch is finding a heat source.

[ fortunately, daffodil's pasture has many daffodils. ]

Huh. Did he say anything else? Any other restrictions?

[afineknight]

He said that I would need to set it on fire, so I think that disqualifies having someone else do it. That also complicates things because it means I cannot simply grab some sticks and flint.

[leonheartedly]

[he crosses his arms, eyebrows furrowing in thought]

That'd be a little hard to do one-handed anyway.

[how the hell is he supposed to . . . he brightens when something comes to mind]

Do you have any glass?

In the kitchen, we have glasses.

[ It dawns on him as he lets out a little "ahhh." ]

You're not the only smart guy.

If those don't work, maybe someone with glasses will loan them to you for a few minutes.

No, no. A glass should do just fine. I can position it just right, so long as we hurry.

[ He picks up his pace, mentally noting that he still has six minutes left. ]

Did he give you a time limit too?

[ He points up. THEY'RE LOSING THE PERFECT POSITIONING. ]

[leonheartedly]

[he's ROLLING HIS EYES but hurrying to follow him]

Then move your ass and go get a glass, idiot.

[afineknight]

What do you think I am doing, eh? It is you who is being slow.

[ He makes it back to Daffodil, dipping in quickly and emerging a moment later with a glass. ]

Here. We can position it on the fence nearby.

[ the pasture fence ofc. ]

[leonheartedly]

I am literally right behind you.

[he glances up to peer at the sun as he waits for Crois to come back. This time he walks next to him when he comes out]

Just don't set the fence on fire, there was enough of that yesterday.

[afineknight]

[ He rolls his eyes. ]

What do you take me for, eh? Besides, at least this is not that fence.

[ Carefully, he places the glass on the fence, squinting at the placement before nodding once to himself. He picks a daffodil and then stoops down, holding it in position in the palm of his hand. ]

And now, we wait.

[leonheartedly]

I'm being nice and not answering that.

[he leans against the fence, careful so he doesn't disturb the glass, and crosses his arms. May as well stick around to see this out. And do his own Red quest]

Here's hoping. This was for your lighter, you said?

[afineknight]

Mmhmm.

[ Four minutes until he gets his Red9. It's just four more minutes. ]

Much better than the quest I had to do for the medical kit.

Bet it was better than what I had to do for a gun.
