I never called you lowly. Or little. And I wouldn't continue to bother you if I thought you were either of those things, Tyr. But I do think you could be more.

And, yes, once. I died as all people do and I went to hell as most people do. Are you surprise? [ he chuckles. ]

[he huffs a little]

I did think about it. You have to understand, when people want more where I'm from, it ends with them turning themselves into monsters - and other people paying the price. So I'm not too keen on more.

Oh, believe me, I get it, but that's because those people don't know how to handle the power that they're given, and it spirals out of control... and then other people end up having to clean up their mess. I'm not interested in offering you something that's going to turn you into some mindless monster, because, frankly, I don't want to have to clean up some mess. And, like I said, I think you could be more. But more doesn't have to be bad. It doesn't have to be monstrous.

. . . [he shakes his head]

If I took your offer, I'd be proving one of those monsters right. And that's the last thing I ever want to do.

I'll still think about it. But for now, my answer is still "no thanks".

Now now, Tyr, hear me out. You can continue being... you. If that's what you desire. I admire your dedication, as I've said. I'm looking for somebody like that. Some... help. As if were. Are you... interested. I suppose the only thing is what you could possibly want if not 'power'.

[he makes a face]

What is it that you get out of this, out of curiosity?

What -I- want is your help. Think of it like... an employee of sorts. [ rolls his wrist. ] It's not like I can do everything myself around here and my minions are only so helpful. But I realize labor isn't free, so is there anything you'd like in return?

All right, so you get an employee. To do what, exactly?

There's nothing I want that you can give me, unfortunately.

To run errands with me. To not stab me in the back. You know, the usual things employees do.

Not a thing? Pity.

What kind of errands? Wouldn't it be easier to just find allies instead of employees?

Not a thing. I'm a simple guy.

Hmmmm. I guess there's not much of a difference.

And I plan to go talk to a guy Red referred me to. Nothing more nothing less.

[ hums, thinking. ] Fine. Allies. [ he holds his hand out to him, similar to when they made a deal in the game. ] You become my ally for my little trip to meet a potential business partner and in the process you keep an eye out for me.

[he tilts his head, eyeing his hand]

And you'll watch my back in return?

Of course. That's what allies do, is it not.

[he dips his head a bit]

Exactly.

I don't want to shake on it in case something happens, since when one thing happens here thirty other things follow - but I'll go with you if I can.

I'm afraid that if you don't shake on it, then the first thing I'm going to do is throw you to the wolves. [ he will need a sacrifice after all, so why not make it leon. ] If you'd rather not come that's one thing. But if you do, then I really must know that you're not going to screw me over in any which way.

[he huffs a bit]

Wow, you really know how to sell a guy on something.

And can you really ever trust anybody? ...no.

[he looks a little thoughtful, head tilting . . . ]

Fair enough. Trust isn't something that should be given freely, it should be earned.

So how about this: [he offers his hand] You have my back, I'll have yours. No screwing each other over, period.

I'm willing to shake on that.

Fair enough my good man. [ he takes his hand and gives it a good shake. ] You've got yourself a deal.

[he nods, shaking firmly]

Let me know when you decide when you're doing it so I can prepare.

In the next couple of days. I haven't picked one yet, because I need to rally the others, but Red has given me some information that I use to call one of his... friends.

[he nods a little] Thistle is holding a fight club on [WHATEVER DAY IT ENDS UP BEING], so as long as it isn't then, I'm good.

mHmm.

Excellent! [ tilts his head. ] A fight club? Sound brutish. I hope you all have fun.

You're welcome to come watch or participate if you want.

Not my thing. I may come watch though. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a stray limb from one of the quarrels.
