Remiel tries to explain to his father why he didn't follow procedure. There was no time to think, he had to act or else the situation would've gone to shit - sorry for cursing, he meant off the rails.
But his father says that there's a reason those rules are in place. If he had followed them, then the situation wouldn't have gotten worse.
"But if I wasted time doing that, that woman would have died." Rem insists, but his father won't hear any of it. Luckily for Rem, it's just a warning this time, but if he keeps it up he'll lose his job and what then?
